Achieving gender equality is no mean feat, and efforts to make sure that the world is a fair and equal place for both genders will have to go on for a long time. As it is with all good things, gender equality is a change that will have to start from home and move outwards, which is what BlogAdda and Ariel attempted with the #ShareTheLoad campaign. Young and impressionable minds are the best bet when it comes to seeding change, an idea that was central to this activity which asked bloggers to write about how to take the message of #ShareTheLoad to the next generation by sharing the best ways in which to instill values of gender equality in households in children’s minds. Motherhood is another dimension to a woman. The joy of being a mother is a divine one and changes a woman’s life completely and forever. There are so many life changing and cherishing experiences during pregnancy, that she is hardly interested in what’s happening around in the world. During pregnancy, a woman’s body goes through a lot of changes. Women today no longer shy away from being upfront in taking care of their health needs.  From regular consultations, to absorbing helpful information from all corners to ensure the child has the best even before the birth, women have shed all inhibitions. We never realize how much we can do for the environment, unless we take some action. It can be preserving our forests, tree plantation activities, judicious use of natural resources or sustainable industrialization that doesn’t harm our ecosystem. All this presently is ignored blatantly and we are outrightly disrespecting our Mother Nature.
