Mera Bharat Mahaan! This statement truly evokes a lot of feelings for our motherland. But is our Bharat really Mahaan? We are sure many of you have an opinion on this and we wanted to hear and read what the Indian Bloggers had to say about this. The entries which we received had one thing in common, the love for our country. We requested Ritu Lalit to judge this one and this is what she had to say.
Frames of Freedom
Anne Morrow Lindbergh says ‘Him that I love, I wish to be free – even from me’ and ‘I only ask to be free. The butterflies are free’, said Charles Dickens. Every day our eyes witness many moments of freedom, joy and happiness. Don’t you wish that time should freeze at the very moment? Wouldn’t you love to capture it and share with the world? We are here with our ‘Frames of Freedom‘ contest where you share with us any of your photos which captures the essence of freedom. Isn’t it interesting?
Update: Priyanka Sachar aka Twilightfairy will be the judge for this contest. The results will be announced soon.
Friends Forever winners announced
“The most beautiful discovery that true friends can make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.” – Elizabeth Foley. This contest invoked all the right feelings about friendships. Mera Bharat Mahaan
‘Ye desh hai vir jawaanon kaa, albelon kaa mastaanon kaa Is desh kaa yaaron Hoye!! Is desh kaa yaaron kyaa kahanaa, Ye desh hai duniyaa kaa gahanaa‘. This song was composed in the year 1957. We are entering into the 64th year of Independence. Can we still sing the same song? Does it still evoke the same patriotic feeling? Do you still feel ‘Mera Bharat Mahan‘?
Update: We have extended this contest by a week due to popular demand. The contest will now end on Aug 17, 12.00 am IST
My Dream Job Winners announced
“Find a job you enjoy, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” says Confucious. What is a ‘Dream Job’? When we announced this contest, we wanted to know ‘What type of job do the Indian Bloggers dream about’? Some of us know from the time we are very young what we want to do when we grow up. Others are still trying to figure that out. Some have tried a career or two, then went on to do something completely different with their lives. The response was overwhelming and we sincerely wish that each one of you get your “Dream Job’ and be happy in life.
