Buzzing Blogosphere: The Beef with Religious Clashes

India is witnessing a contradicting face of its society that is at any given minute debating its ideologies, committing sinful acts and questioning justice. All at a given minute. Are we a democracy? If you have an idea about what is happening in the country right now, it would be very difficult to justify ā€˜Yes’ as an answer to the above question. From animal rights to human rights, from law and order to citizen rights, from safety of women on roads to tackling terrorism, from our food habits to our worshiping habits, we are fighting at all levels instead of embracing our diversity that has gone down in history and glorified for over 2000 years now.

Buzzing Blogosphere: The Reservation Stir

Caste based reservation prevails in India after 68 years of independence. This form of reservation is looked upon as positive discrimination. The makers of our Constitution included it to protect those who were underprivileged for ages. But in modern India, majority of the citizens look at it as an unfair advantage given to people belonging to certain communities.

The castes that fall under the purview of reservationĀ are looked upon with envy by those who are not able to avail this benefit. Are people like Hardik Patel, even though misinformed, bringing disturbances in the society because they view the law as a short-cut to get ahead? We wonder whether the politicians have failed to disseminate the reason for this law and use it to divide and ‘rule’? Today’s Buzzing Blogosphere will focus on what Indian bloggers say about this system.

Buzzing Blogosphere: NSA-level Talks A Failure?

The tale of India-PakistanĀ is a never-ending one of two siblings separated at birth. They never regained self-sufficiency from the division. Nevertheless, it isn’t a story has happy ending anywhere in the near future at least. It is sad to see the nations that were once a part of a larger subcontinent are now pitted against each other. We don’t know how badly these failed NSA-level talks are portraying us in the international sphere. But, it is really bad for the domestic situation within respective nations. Both the countries do connect on various levels when it comes to cricket matches and Bollywood movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan portray a very positive picture. It makes us rather proud and desire peace. Alas, the people in power do not think on similar lines as the citizens on both sides do.

This peace-talk failure has grabbed international attention and this week’s Buzzing Blogosphere has touched upon this issue as well, with valuable inputs from Indian Bloggers.

Buzzing Blogosphere: The ABC’s of Alphabet

In recent news, we have found out that Larry Page has moved up from being the CEO of Google to CEO of Alphabet. But, that’s not it. Sundar Pichai, from Chennai, was named the next CEO of Google after Page. The development created a lot of buzz in social media, with Sundar’s photos from 1994 and one with his wife crowding our timelines. This made everyone as proud as we were when Vivek Murthy became the general surgeon. We at least have someone better representing us than Bobby Jindal on the international sphere *wink wink*.

But, the main news here isn’t Sundar Pichai or Larry Page. It is the new company, Alphabet, which will be the parent company of Google, Googlex, Google ventures, Fiber, Calico and Nest. Is this what happens when you and your co-founder make too many companies? You need a bigger one to manage all of them? That is some real success. Today’s Buzzing Blogosphere will focus upon this and see what the bloggers have to say about the same.
