‘Mom! Where are my fresh socks?’
‘Didi! Why didn’t you scrub my shirt’s collar? It’s still grimy!’
‘Dad! If you see mom ask her to keep my football uniform ready, I need it tomorrow!’

Are these conversations that happen in your household on a regular basis? Do you sense something wrong with the above conversation? If yes, Join #ShareTheLoad – by blogging about this prejudice being passed down to the next generation. Tell us why it is important to address this by setting the right example and role model at home itself.

Blog to #KnowYourRights and fight against sexual violence

Skim through any newspaper or switch on any news channel, and you will find an alarming number of sexual abuse cases, some by strangers and some by people close to the victim. That’s not even the worst news. The actual tragedy is that only 1 in 100 cases of sexual violence are actually reported in India.

The odds are stacked high against women safety, but as they say, knowledge is power. One of the most effective ways to nip sexual violence is to increase awareness among women about their rights. The light of knowing their rights will drive out the darkness of fear that they live in. Amnesty International and BlogAdda bring you the #KnowYourRights activity.
