It is amazing how much you can accomplish when it doesn’t matter who gets the credit. You could say this is one of the main reasons Twestival is what it is today. It’s because of the thousands of volunteers who dedicate their time, efforts and energies to make sure a global initiative like Twestival is successful in accomplishing its goal of helping the nonprofit.
The organization of Indian Twitter Users (OITU) last week trended a hashtag called #lsdknockoffs. Again the creativity flowed and approx. 1,772 tweets were hashtagged. Every week we see a lot of hashtags trending which were started by OITU. But there is one hashtag which trends week after week and make people laugh. It is called #perkytweets. Here is this week’s laughter dose!

I first heard of Twestival, the Twitter festival, back in July 2009. As I mentioned elsewhere, “There I was, sipping coffee while wondering how to make my life more meaningful… A chance mention to a colleague, a couple of emails and a Skype call later my life completely changed – I had become the regional coordinator for Twestival in India!”
