With freedom comes responsibility. Freedom of the Press was one of the constitutional guarantees persistently demanded by India’s freedom fighters during British colonial rule. The Media in India enjoys a great amount of freedom and seems flourishing. Do you think, the Indian Media in the current times, is misusing their freedom? Akshay Kumar was in news for meeting R K Laxman in the hospital to thank him, since his character in the new film is inspired by his cartoons. Rajeev Masand of CNN-IBN called him a jackass in one of his tweet. Amitabh Bachchan responded via this one.
What do you think were Akshay’s intentions? Are film stars so selfish or is Rajeev fair in blaming Akshay? What ever it is, it is snowballing into a controversy. It was Spain all the way yesterday. What a wonderful match and what a wonderful exhibition of togetherness which was exhibited yesterday in the world cup. Africa as a continent was portrayed as one! We have the Common Wealth games coming up. Will we see something similar there? Will it be as happening as the World Cup? Let us wait and watch.
