Comment Guidelines & A Safe Community

On Sunday night, someone contacted our partners, informing them of comments of a malicious nature left on a users ShoutBox on BlogAdda. Our partners, thankfully, informed us about these comments, which we removed immediately, as well as the profiles that were used to post these comments.

As a responsible social network and community we wanted to take this opportunity to clarify a few things, highlight certain community standards, and request your help in monitoring and improving your community.

Your community is open to participation, but we have to strike a balance between the freedom for anyone to post, and comments being civil and conforming to certain moral standards. Comments on BlogAdda should not be abusive, nor should they be used to solicit illegal activities. While we try and monitor all such activity on BlogAdda, it is sometimes difficult for us to monitor all of them. We would appreciate your support in keeping this community clean, so please flag all malicious, slanderous or solicitous comments, so our team can look into them and take appropriate action.

In case you find something suspicious or offensive, you can contact us directly in various ways –

1. Via our contact form at http://www.blogadda.com/contact

2. Via email: contact@blogadda.com

3. Call us: During working hours, you can call our office on 022-25005771.

We would like to thank our partners and the person who contacted them for bringing this issue to our attention.

We would like to assure all our readers, writers and partners that BlogAdda is committed to work on the vision of creating a wonderful and a safe blogger community.

Should you have any further concerns, as a reader or a partner, you can mail me directly at nirav@blogadda.com.

Write Over the Weekend (WOW)

Why do we write?  When someone asked this to Isaac Aminov he said thatI write for the same reason I breathe – because if I didn’t, I would die’.  Writing for the love of writing is a form of unconditional love. A true writer writes from the heart and a great writer writes for nothing but to express love for writing.  We want you to continue, what you have always loved doing. Keeping that in mind, we are happy to announce a brand new initiative at BlogAdda, Write Over the Weekend (WOW)!

UPDATE: The theme for the current week has been announced here. Please submit your entries in that post.
