“It’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen”
What happens when intelligent minds come together to challenge status quo? Breakthrough innovation! This is exactly what IIT Kanpur is gearing up for right now. TechKriti 2017 – one of the most coveted annual technological festival in India is set to launch this March. This is one such college festival in India that has been lauded by dignitaries such as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, mathematician Vlamidir Voevodsky, NASA’s ex-astronaut Michael Foreman, physicist David Griffiths to name a few.
What’s in it for you?
TechKriti is an on-campus event that is spread over four days and expects a total footfall of over 25000 people from all over India. There are talk shows to attend, debates and competitions to participate in and prizes to be won!
The competitions are divided into four broad categories:
Some of the highly sought after competitions are ECDC, Mixed Bowl, Take Off, Buizkriti and TechKriti Grand Prix.
There is no better way to understand a topic than learning hands-on. There are a host of workshops lined up for those who want to get into the depth of topics. Some of the topics that will be covered by experts are:
- Sixth Sense Robotics
- Android App Development
- Internet of Things
- Robo Expedition
- Cloud computing
- Game Development
- Advanced Ethical Hacking
- Automobile and IC Engine
TechKriti is a huge platform for talented students to exhibit their technical skills and engineering acumen. It encourages young minds to take the leap of faith towards entrepreneurial ventures. It is a great opportunity for participants to explore their passion.
What’s new this year?
To take it up a notch this year, TechKriti launched the first edition of TOSC- an open school competition for all schools in the city. TOSC is aimed at igniting the spark inside little engineers and provide them a tool to tinker with.
Technocruise, the zonal level preliminary round of TechKriti witnessed over 8000 participants last year and is expected to increase this time.
Exhibitions, events, workshops and contests, all around a single theme- Innovation. This certainly sounds like great opportunity for those with a technical bent of mind to stay abreast with the happenings of the tech-world. If technology is your thing, then head to TechKriti 2017 at IIT Kanpur. Their in-house hospitality team will ensure that your accommodation and lodging is taken care of.
