Attend IIT-Kharagpur’s Spring Fest 2016 for an unforgettable experience!

Think IIT and you picture super smart, dedicated students working towards getting a degree that will shape their lives, and possibly the future of the country. That’s quite true, but it’s quite a different story during the time of Spring Fest! The hallowed grounds of IIT-Kharagpur are transformed into a fiesta for these 4 days,i.e., from 29th January to 1st February.


Spring Fest, which started as an intra-college competition, is a much larger canvas today. Apart from music, the festival celebrates culture, fine arts, literature and debates on a huge scale. As they say skill and talent know no borders as participants and the performers from different countries are a part of this fest. With its unparalleled lineage of artists across genres, you can assure yourself of a spellbinding experience.

The festival will also see Amit Trivedi, the most celebrated Bollywood musician performing live. Known for breathtaking music from bollywood hits such as Dev D, Wake Up Sid, Udaan, Aisha, Ishaqzaade, Kai Po Che, Lootera, Queen and the upcoming Fitoor, Amit Trivedi will be hitting the Jnan Ghosh Grounds on the 1st of February 2016. Be prepared to be rocked and moved by the emotions of the brilliant music of one of the most amazing Bollywood Music Artists alive!

Another international highlight of the event is the live performance by the band Dead By April. The band is coming to India with a bang all the way from Sweden and is known to be a melodious metal giant. The band makes its debut in India with Spring Fest 2016 and boasts of famous singles like ‘Losing You’ and ‘As a Butterfly’. So catch them live on January 31, 2016 at Ghosh Stadium, IIT Kharagpur.
