Read below for excerpt.

We are giving away 10 books of this travel book. Here’s the excerpt:

Sidhu, the irrepressible wanderer, wears various hats – epicurean, historian, art and architecture critic – in her, oftentimes, rip-roaring travelogue. A witty narrative, it captures the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of an ever-effervescent Europe with punch and panache.

Adrift is a pacey and humourous account of the author’s travel experiences in Europe. Informative and anecdotal, it is peopled by interesting characters and off-beat destinations. Bon Voyage!

Know the author: Meet Puneetinder Kaur Sidhu – Self-professed travel enthusiast (her motto,”have money, will travel” is almost respectable), fiercely independent, thirty-something, single, and endowed with a wry sense of humour. She is not lost. She is not queuing up to find herself. She is not going away to connect with the voice within, nor is she on the path to self-discovery. On the contrary, this seasoned traveler is merely making a long overdue Pause in Europe, taking an entire fun-filled summer to press play again.

She was a former food columnist with Hindustan Times and has been regularly contributing articles to travel and airline magazines and national dailies for over 15 years. She is also on the book review panel of The Tribune. She currently resides in Chandigarh, India, and is planning her next junket.
