Abhyuday – the social body of IIT Bombay opened the registrations for the College Representative Program and as a new initiative, it has launched the School Representative Program this year extending the former idea of CR to schools and its students.
Established in 2014, Abhyuday, IIT Bombay is a student-run social organisation dedicated to channeling the Potential of the youth towards addressing the challenges in society. Abhyuday’s envisions to instill a sense of social responsibility and leadership in the youth. All along the year, youth are driven to engage in impactful programs and initiatives that result in a positive change in society which covers diverse activities including campaigns, conclaves, workshops, events, internship programs, competitions, and fests. Abhyuday has reached out to over 2,00,000 students across India, extending a broad network nationwide. Abhyuday continues to stand as a proud and influential platform, driving a positive social change through youth engagement.
College Representative Program:
The College Representative program invites dedicated students to join with Abhyuday’s mission to address critical social issues. Participants will take on the responsibility of Managing events, and raising awareness on topics such as education, health, gender equality and many more of such social issues. By participating in this program, representatives will hone their leadership skills, develop and refine their communication abilities and expand their networks by engaging with diverse groups and organising impactful events. Abhyuday offers a range of incentives to our enrolled College Representatives, including Paid internships, free subscriptions, LOR’s, Special coupons, vouchers, courses, mentorship and many more. Under the guidance of the mentors from Abhyuday, the College Representatives have to coordinate, plan and execute the initiatives showcasing their problem solving, management, leadership, Networking skills. This internship commences in August 2024.
Student Representative Program:
Abhyuday, IIT Bombay has launched its latest initiative of School Representative Program, extending its reach to schools with the goal of fostering social consciousness among the youth from an earlier age. Students from schools across India are welcomed just as in the College Representative Program to execute the events in their respective schools and be the social face of their school. Social awareness from a younger age inculcates the idea of social change and an affinity towards the betterment of society thus resulting in a greater positive impact on the youth. If emphasised from a young age, students perceive the requirement of comprehension on social issues and start to adhere themselves in addressing such issues.
