The Economics Society of St. Stephen’s College is back with its National Economics Festival to be held on 19th and 20th January, 2018.
The Economics Society strives to provide students with opportunities to expand their knowledge of Economics beyond the confines of a classroom. With academically rich events, from debates to quizzes and even a research paper competition, the National Economics Festival is one of its kind. Witnessing participation from all over the country, it provides the perfect platform to explore your passion for economics amidst rigorous yet exciting events that will tickle you brain and leave you absolutely invigorated.
The Festival shall be inaugurated with a Lecture by a renowned economist, followed by the official release of our annual journal, Towards Equilibrium.
This will be followed by six interesting events over the span of two days.
1. Committee Simulation
As part of NEF 2018, we will have a committee simulation of The United States
Congress Joint Economic Committee on Costs of Mass Incarceration, its Privatization and the Rights of Inmates.Whether you are a seasoned MUNNER, or want to give this intriguing issue a shot, this is the event for you.
