Jaypee Model United Nations, JMUN, is the MUN conference organized by Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Sector 62, Noida.
JMUN’18 is the eighth edition of the unparalleled MUN conference in Delhi-NCR and is set to provide its delegates the best platform and unique opportunity to debate, discuss and deliberate.
A pen, an item that perfectly captures the essence of an MUN. It encompass entire world within its tip and therefore has been selected as the mascot for this edition of JMUN. The official mascot of JMUN’18 bears the name of one of the greatest writers in history, Oscar, the pen.
Here are the JMUN ‘18’s five committees with their agendas –
- United Nations General Assembly (Plenary session): Reviewing the disarmament of nuclear weapons in accordance with the recent weapon tests.
- United Nations Human Rights Council: Combating defamation of religion.
- Historic Lok Sabha: Deliberation on the provision of the proposed Indo-US Civil Nuclear Agreement.
- Council of Europe: The European migrant crisis.
- Arab League (Social and Economic Council): Devising strategies to counter the impacts of high levels of youth unemployment in the region.
JMUN ‘18 will be held between January 20-21, 2018 within JIIT campus. The two-day conference will bring out the eminent leader, a rising personality, and a rational citizen who will be well versed with his rights and responsibilities, and aware of the social issues of the world.
