When the pink ribbon is tied on the black advocate robe – Part II

Aaah, so we take it forward from where we left the pink trials? Such an irony right, the color that adorns each nursery when a girl child is ushered in the crib, is perhaps the dreaded color when we think about one of the worst diseases that have come to affect us women in the modern times.

Breast cancer though associated primarily with females, is not completely biased towards them! No even cancer believes in equality!

Interview with Harini Calamur

As always BlogAdda brings to you yet another brilliant interview of a lady who is known for her ‘point of view‘. She is a business woman, a writer by passion and also a teacher. Her interests include media and communication and her teaching is mainly into that field itself. She started blogging when it was very little known and developed in India. Her interest in television and films has resulted in her producing a Marathi film and also many television programmes. Her film had farmer suicides as its backdrop and now she plans to put light on this social cause through her kind efforts to show this film in 4000 villages in Maharashtra! Group Blogging: Be Part Of An Online Community

They say there’s strength in numbers. The worth of your blog is defined by its visibility, its loyal readership and its fan base. We’ll look at how to measure & monitor these in detail, in a future post. But before that, let’s look at one way to expand your blogging presence.

I started with one blog, back in 2004. A year later, I had expanded that to five different blogs (a chick-blog, a review blog, an office-stories blog, a poetry/confessional blog and my ‘main’ blog). Yet another year later, I found myself wondering how I could grow in this medium and in my craft (of writing). The answer came to me in the form of group blogs.

Confessions of a Twitterholic

It has been over a year since I wrote my first blog post My tryst with Twitter: 35 tips for beginners which captured my learning on Twitter as a beginner. I had hundred odd followers then, not many knew about my existence on Twitter and I could get away with pretty much anything. Times have changed since then. I have had my ups and downs on Twitter. I have done a few things right and I have messed up a few. I have enjoyed the spotlight that has come my way and there have been times when I have wished for obscurity.
