Drishti, NM College’s management festival is currently in its 17th year, has managed to achieve its goal of being the #1 management festival of Mumbai. Drishti 16 is an innovation beyond imagination! This time, the theme of the festival is COSMOPOLIS. It indicates an ideal city where all the cultures and religions of the world come together and live in harmony to make the world a better place! The fest will be held on the 26th, 27th and 28th of January.
Living up to its USP of never repeating a single event, Drishti introduces new interactive events each year. Drishti being a perfect platform for students to showcase their talent in all fields, has participants coming from colleges across the city. The events at Drishti are something everyone looks forward to. Bringing out the management maestro in young students are the management events at Drishti. These include the Legacy event Echelon, the flagship event Drishti Business Personality, Business @ Campus, the flagship event patented by the No.1 business school in the country- IIM Ahmedabad and many more. Their flagship events, the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) definitely bring out the Sherlock in the participants!
Drishti does not only test your brains but also tests your physical abilities. It brings out the athlete in you with its unique sports. Dealing with the razzmatazz of Dance, Drama and Fashion Show, Drishti Cultural Day is one of its kind and brings out the best of the festival, thereby portraying each one’s talent at the cultural front.
Winston Churchill once said, ‘Responsibility is the price of greatness’. Considering social responsibility as one of its most important avenues, Team Drishti undertakes a social responsibility each year, to create awareness, help and support the needy. This year Drishti is proud to associate with the United Nations women’s “HeforShe” campaign to spread awareness for gender equality.
Drishti had its Social Week from 4th to 8th January. This year the theme for the Social Week was gender equality, a much talked about social issue! Renaissance of Equality, the Social Week title, was graced by numerous celebrities.
Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, Sonnalli Seygall, Rithvik Dhanjani, Evelyn Sharma, Saroj Khan and Pooja Ruparel attended the Social Week, participating in all the activities with enthusiasm and rocking the campus with their moves!
Team Drishti also had a mind blowing Flash Mob at Marine Lines, which upped the excitement level of the whole area! They also had a graffiti done near the Vile Parle Station, of paintings revolving around gender equality. It was done by the Creatives team of Drishti and Project M.A.D.
Just like last year, Drishti plans to achieve even higher levels of success, and as the name suggests, the “Vision” for this festival is to keep growing, surpass all that is expected from it, and evolve into the most unparalleled version of itself.
