BlogAdda partners with UNICEF India to #ENDviolence

It is painful to know that across the world, around 6 in 10 children aged 2-14 are subjected to physical punishment by their caregivers every year and about 1 in 10 girls have suffered some form of sexual violence. According to the National Crime Reports Bureau (NCRB), 12,363 cases of child rape were reported in the country in 2013. Several such cases go unreported and unnoticed.

There is an urgent need to #ENDviolence.

UNICEF India’s campaign #ItStartsWithMe wishes to address this issue and #ENDviolence.  We take the pride to announce that BlogAdda is proud to associate with UNICEF India to  spread awareness about this Nobel initiative.

Let  each one of  us get together and raise the voice and take the pledge to #ENDviolence, so that every child can live a violence-free life. We can do it; we have the power, #ItStartsWithMe.

Join the pledge with Bollywood and Sports Celebrities supporting the campaign –Farhan Akhtar, Rahul Bose, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, Saina Nehwal, and Virender Sehwag.

On the Day of Girl Child, October 10, UNICEF India is launching the “Baap Wali Baat” song, a song of hope for a positive role model of a father who does the ‘BaapWaaliBaat’ and gives his daughter all that she deservers – to study, to have equal rights, to have a good life.

Share it with your friends and family and be the voices of change that our country needs. Go ahead blog about it, create remixes of the song, create videos talking about the campaign, the need to #ENDviolence, how we can help #ENDviolence, taking the pledge just like the celebrities – generously use the hashtag #BaapWaliBaat #ENDviolence or #ItStartsWithMe in all your activities. Spread the word, share your support on UNICEF’s YouTube video or tweet to the @UNICEFIndia. They will curate the best ones on their Social Media channels and campaign website.
