A salute to all the Indian athletes who made it tough for the others and put in a lot of effort in the games. Congrats to Dipa, Manoj Kumar and Deepika Kumari for making us all proud of them. Shoba De's comment was really insensitive towards the athletes who put their sweat and blood in their sport and winning is not everything. They put in a great effort and they need to be encouraged rather than be condemned.

The bomb blast in Quetta was a very unfortunate and saddening incident. May the souls RIP.

I had never heard about Irom Sharmila but am glad she broke her fast as it could have worsened her health condition. She fasted for a true cause but nothing can happen when the authorities only don't plan to improve themselves and the security.

Rakhi Sawant is more mocking Mr. Modi by that dress and can do anything in the name of publicity and controversy. Doesn't show she respects him.

The Swach Bharat campaign did work in my city too where I've seen my neighbors form groups of 15 members and they clean their nearby societies. I am really happy to see that this initiative was really taken seriously by Indians.

I don't understand the craze for a game like Pokemon. I agree that it has several disadvantages and especially kids should not play this game. It's a very bad addiction for them as it can easily harm them if they walk on streets and barge into any premises.

I'm glad that the latest news was covered in this topic and I updated myself on the recent controversies and activities with regards to sports, politics, entertainment and games. I feel technology updates were missed like Samsung 7's launch.

It’s really a great read. Almost all the topics are covered which I strongly feel for. Here is how I feel for some of the Topic covered here…

On India shines at Rio
While I was also upset like the majority of people who reacted insanely towards the insensitive tweet from none other than eminent author and columnist Shobha De on athletes participating in Rio Olympics 2016, but at the same time I had to accept the reality that In spite of being population over 1 billion and having highest number of youngest population we tail off at most of the big sporting events. In a country of one billion people, it is highly implausible that we cannot find sportsmen of highest caliber / potential to show off in international arena. I accept corruption and indifference of the sports authorities and other concerned people have resulted the poorest infrastructure for any athlete to prosper but I don’t thinks it’s the only reason for this miserable performance of Indian participants year after year and Olympics after Olympics for all these decades. There are more reasons than only economy. It’s our attitude towards the Games other than Cricket. Cricket has become a most Saleable game because we have made it so. It’s time for introspection for us – All Indians, as well. We always believed that “Sports has no Future” and nipped the budding players/talents by safely channelizing their minds in studies which we believe would earn them a safe future. Dipa Karmaker should work as an Eye Opener for all Indians that “it’s not a loss deal if we spend time and resources on sports – how unconventional they might appear”. I wish the sports ministry has learnt something from this even apart from chasing athletes for selfies creeping into accredited territories. I would like to feel proud and inspiring only for my country’s contingent in Olympic rather feeling sympathetic for the poor resources they get justifying their miserable performance. Let this Rio Olympic 2016 act as an agent to revolutionaries the sporting nature Of India. Let it be a Milestone changing the future course of Sports in India…I wish!!

On Swachh Bharat Abhiyan ad commands respect
Pradeep Sarkar deserves a thumps up for the #DontLetHerGo ad as it’s really makes clever attempt to touch the chord of the Indian Lifestyle. It should make people think “is this why we are still a poor nation” as we have let Goddess Laxmi – The Goddess of wealth and prosperity- by our dirty habits? It itself is a great irony that a nation needs to be sensitize towards “Cleanliness” which is a basic human Attribute. We’re not animals because we love cleanliness. But Alas! That’s the reality. I look for more such innovative ad that could amend rigid minds.
On Rakhi Sawant stuns in daring new dress
The love turns into a cult if we cross the fine lines of decency and logic. I'm not amused with the pictures of Rakhi Sawant, wearing a garish black number emblazoned with pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But I’m equally amused at the Media and public glare Rakhi Sawant has managed to achieve. I don’t think we had no other important things to rest our eyes on other than what someone has wrapped with or not.

On Pokemon GO is a nuisance?
Though it is potentially impossible to keep gadget and app freak young minds apart from any app launched, but we can surely use our wisdom to see the advantage/disadvantage of it before allowing it tender minds to use. Actually there sud be a national policy to analyse the apps before allowing them for the people to use. I’m not sure if Pokemon Go invades the privacy posing a danger but it’s surely addictive and has a potential danger for the accidents to happen given to the careless use of it by youngsters.
