I am student from general category and I have faced discrimination . I wanted to get good college but due to reservation policy I could not get my favourite college .

Don’t take granted for politicians . They only want to save their vote bank .
In coming future , I will write argumentative, logical book on reservation policy .

More awareness should be done in this issue.

Reservation is totally baseless. India do not need any caste based reservation in current scenario instead it needs on basis of economically weaker section only. Politicians are idiot

Well said.
My point of view is that if government wants to help the backward class people then they can help them financially too.but not doung this they reserve the seats for them whether it is a part of taking admission in schools, colleges, jobs or any other institution…
My question to all of them who believe that the caste reservation is good is that all students read in the same school,read same books taught by same teachers,living in the same society.. Then isn’t be unfair for those students who are scoring more marks and have talent but unable to get admission as the seats are booked for the backward class??

Well written. My point of view on reservation is beyond only economic stability. Its about inclusion of backward caste in to main stream line by force or coercion by means of reservation. If not for reservation what ever 40% of backwards in Gov’t institutions would have not happened. As interviewers have their discretions and biased. Bias is regional language caste and religion based even male or female for that matter. That’s why female reservation came into picture. So its more about inclusion of these people into mainstream and society such that they are brought to level where they can influence by numbers and decide their future. Also if you see the reservations were % share of population based not ad hoc. I agree general category students who don’t get admission because no seats are available and perhaps some one from backward class got the seat with less marks. However things have changed. %age variance between general and backward category is close now. So may be equal. Has reservation changed lives of backwards people yes they are better economically. Socially he will sit with u and say we should stop reservation voicing against it but not declaring his caste because people will start behaving differently as soon as u declare same.
Its difficult being a reserved category student. Admissions are not the end. Post admission also most times these people are discriminated against in studies exams. I say before reservation stop compulsory use of surnames. Stop public comments against caste religion. Many things will be solved. There many things but I hope I raised few pertinent points.
