But other than that, I stand by what I said. Extra-ordinary claims require extra-ordinary proofs. In the way of controlled, double-blind, statistically valid research.

Also, for many, many years, James Randi was offering 1 million dollars to anybody who could show a diabetes patient being cured of diabetes. I find it hard to believe that people who can cure diabetes on a regular basis wouldn’t grab that chance.

I appreciate your skepticism, most are. I would be happy to introduce you to the mother of Diana Haydon who I believe is India’s Miss World, Anna Haydon was diagnosed with stage 3 boarding stage 4 multiple myeloma in March of this year which is believed to be an incurable form of cancer. She had 4 rounds of chemo then stopped the treatment and went on the diet. By August she was completely clear of cancer,

We are launching our first Recovery Centre to rehabilitate terminally ill cancer patients in the Bhakti Vedanta Hospital at Mira Road on the 17thth January. We are starting with 7 terminally ill patients. You are most welcome to get involved to understand that is much more than a conspiracy theory.

#2 Read the book called “you can heal your life” by Louise hay. She survived cancer.

There are people who have survived the deadly diseases and overcome them because they realize the cause of their dis ease.

Sometimes trying new things can open doors that were unknown to you so before you conclude get some proof that the claim is false before implying that it is a tall claim.

Just because many people are ignorant does not mean everyone is unaware.

In life, experiments yield results. So be open to new things … that is all..

A little bit of skepticism can be healthy but experimentation when done the right way can make you stronger. That’s why listening is called a great skill through which a person grows. Be receptive, that’s all.

1. I think Viren certainly pointed out a very important problem. However, he spent too much time talking about the problem, and not enough time talking about what somebody (other than his company) can do about this. That is why it fell short, for me. I mean what’s the point of spreading an idea when the recipient doesn’t know what to do with it?

2. About a cure for cancer: Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Cancer is one of the top killers in the world today, and it is silly to claim that all those people wouldn’t have to die if they simply followed a diet. That’s sort of a slap in the face of all those who died, and their relatives.

And life would be really difficult if we were to believe every tall claim made by every sweet-talking person who came along. Some amount of scepticism is healthy…

I think it is possible to cure cancer. I know people who’ve gotten cured from cancer. The universe has answers for everything. There is nothing in it that you can’t believe it to be true.

You’re right.. you want proof so did you ask for proof or did you go and speak to the person before you said “no.. this is not possible”..

Well… I believe everything in this world is possible.

You can get cured of cancer just by your thoughts as well so a change in diet as well CAN CURE CANCER.

Impossible itself says I M Possible.

I think a person must never lose hope. Those who lose hope early die early.

And the thoughts of Viren Rasquinha are great, just that they are not practical enough.

I think Navin had very high expectations from the first edition of TedX which I did not attend.. and looks like it did not get such a high as hugely expected by most attendees.
