Thanks Ashwin

With great power comes great responsibility - Abhishek Bacchan, Paa :P

Not all social mediums will help all industries. But every one ranging from a small entrepreneur to a established MNC can derive a lot with the right use of the right network. And a reason this needs to thought about by most corporations today is the fact that 350 million of their employees either present or future are on Facebook (add to that the other networks, I ain't digging into the stats for now).

I am not allowed to quote names here, but I know how LinkedIN is used by welknown MNC's to research on their clients and competition before bidding for multimillion dollar contracts.

What one keeps private and what public is individual preference. At the same time corporations need to ensure that the public profile of a employee doesn't hurt their business interests. Thats again why its necessary to get in to Social media management.

Cheers
