Hi Bhavna,
Your Blog is simply amazing
emphasizing the Indian look which i think is the most colorful and beautiful theme ever. be it the fabrics, prints handicrafts the color ,the look is always so inspiring.
I too am big home decor freak though i am a apparel designer but always ve bn keen on interiors and keep looking ways to do up my home without spending too much money on expensive artifacts & home accessories.
We are about to move in to our new house in Gurgaon and i am already going bonkers going thru blogs and taking tips on decor.
your blog has given me a huge inspiration and wonderful tips and ideas.

Thanks Nikita! As an amateur (like me) in the field of interior design, a good start is to develop awareness of your own preferred style. Review the good interior design magazines available, and go through the many blogs which are out there on home decor, design and architecture. As a logical next step, once you get a sense of the kind of design you like and can relate to, you will start building a knowledge and inspiration base for yourself.

If you are keen on becoming a design professional, I would recommend you look through the many design programs available. I believe to begin with, while an individual needs to have some sense of aesthetics, a feel for color, spatial consciousness, and an ability to visualize, a professional course hands you the correct tools and techniques of the trade.

Actually, I am thinking of moving the blog to a custom domain next year. Redesign the site quite a bit, make it more user friendly, change the look and feel and all the other good stuff. Will get it done as soon as I get some time 🙂
