My heart echoes the same sentiments. Being a journalist having experience of over 27 years in mainly print medium, I agree with what Ashok Banker says. We all believed in sensitivity and ethics in journalism. Now it is just 'generalism' everything general is wrapped in glittering packages and sold. general stories, general reporting, nothing great. Greatness lies only in words - not in action anymore. Yes, writing a book is something in which your pen is not being held. And if you do not find publishers, publish it yourself and distribute it yourself. and it does not really dig very deep into your pockets.

It was a great feeling to read your interview here again. I really respect and comply with your views about our entertainment and news industry but I strongly feel that someone somewhere will have to take some initiative to bring some change in this wild world of television. Everyone knows that millions of people –ranging from kids to old aged spend hours in front of television everyday and this is nothing but sheer waste of human resources. If we encourage good people to join this industry and help them to bring the change, I am sure one good person will hire ten such people under him; thereby our next generation will get better content and develop a better value system.

I have been a regular reader of your interviews.

Sir, when you say that journalism is working on a flawed model and the media has sold themselves. Do the news which we see and read everyday are biased and sponsored?
