NIKHIL WHY DO STRONG I MEAN POWERFUL MEDIA MEN AND WOMEN and newspapers and channels WASTE SO MUCH TIME ON USELESS trivia AND IRRELEVANT ISSUES WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY IMPORTANT ISSUES TO BE DISCUSSED EXPLORED AND COVERED and improved.WHY IS THE MEDIA BIASED ON ACTUALLY PUBLISHING FACTS PREVALENT AT OFFICES CLOSELY RELATED TO HUMAN NEEDS IN SOCIETY WHERE MALPRACTICES ARE RAMPANT, LIKE EDUCAtion departments.schools, false medicalbills submission by greasing doctors at sasoon, ration offices, inactivity of registrars of cooperative societies regarding malpractices in residential societies, pune muncipal corporations and the like who issue certificates to hoardings on buildings by corruption without considering safety of residents,excise not being correctly paid by liquor dealers and the nuisance they cause in residential societies, multiple land selling by local farmer agents , and their nexus with builders in land and plots grabbing of middle class by rumor spreading that land is gone and usage of pressure tactics, elite businessmen so called socially respected luring young girls into blue films under the garb of modelling.I have never seen any media person unearth or do such active jobs so much work lies unattended while the middle class fool tires eyeballs watching nonsense what say???

Great interview Nikhil.
Media businesses have surely taken big toll on them worldwide, and India isn’t immune to that. Only those who can take up hard challenges will be able to survive this recession storm, and will surely emerge as winners in early next year.

Nikhil, I enjoyed reading your interview. Quite a few industry insights. I agree when you say that the Internet is going through a period of introspection now. And one would not be surprised if a few big names crumple up during this year. A few of those, who spent big money last year are not even willing to spend a rupee now. They want to just make sure that they are around and users do keep visiting them.

Finally… I was wondering who is the person this week when Nirav told me to guess the name… was a good surprise.

I have interacted with Nikhil a couple of times and its been a pleasure always… Was luckily present at the first mixer when medianama was launched and i think it was a success.

I wish both Nikhil and medianama success.
