It was a world event, where for three days + three nights you sit with a group and write a novel. I remember I was not supposed to participate, just facilitate the process, meaning keep the tea flask full, etc. But the last moment, one of the guys backed off, and my husband asked me if I would like to sit on his comp. I agreed on the condition that I will be treated like a writer, and not a maid. So we had these six guys, including me, holed up in our apartment, some of us writing for the first time. Somehow the group dynamics worked, at least for me, and I finished the first five thousand words of a novel that is now, about to be published. The writerthon acted as a kick start for me to write an entire manuscript. Can we possibly do something similar on Blogadda? Something fiction? I once participated in a ‘writerthon’.
